My Career Goal

Hi everyone, today I am going to be talking to you about my career goal. I have been thinking a lot recently about what I want to do with my future, I am enjoying the job I am in now but I know it's not something I want to do for life. I want a real career.
Something I have wanted to do for years is become a midwife. I remember when I was in school I was having a meeting about my poor attendance and the woman taking the meeting asked me what I wanted to do in my future, I told her I wanted to be a midwife and she just laughed and told me that would never happen.
Since then I have never thought I could go into that career until recently. I was talking with a colleague at work about careers and I said I wanted to be a midwife but I haven't got the right GCSE's to do so. That was when she told me about access courses so I came home and found they have an access course to health in my local college. It even says on the site that you can progress to midwifery from this course. I applied straight away and I am now waiting to hear back from the college with a date to go in speak to them about the course.
I am unsure whether or not I will get onto the course this year as my GCSE's were so poor, if I do get refused I will hopefully redo my GCSE's then apply again next year.
After this course my aim is to go to University and study Midwifery.
I am not going to give up on this dream and I hope that in 5 years time I can look back at this post and smile to myself and think 'yes I achieved that.' but for now my focus is to get into college and take it from there!

NYX Prismatic Eye Shadow- Smoke and Mirrors; Review

Hi everyone, today I have a review on this beautiful eyeshadow by NYX. I picked this shadow up ages ago when I was looking for a shadow to go with my outfit for my Christmas night out last year. This has been one of my go to shadows for a night out. I love dark and glittery when I am at a party or clubbing.
This shadow is so pigmented, the swatch above is only one sweep ( is that even the right word ?! haha )
I also love the packaging of this shadow, it is silver on the outside and has a little bow on the clasp and then black inside where the colour is.
I am definitely going to pick up some more of the shades in this range as if they are as good as this one they will be amazing!

My Past Jobs

Hey everyone, today is going to be a bit of a different post, I am going to be talking to you about my different jobs I have had. I have had a few jobs over the last few years and thought it would be fun to share them with you.
I am not going to be sharing the exact name of the companies. I have worked for mainly just for privacy for myself and that my blog is still very private in my real life.

1. Children's soft play area- This was the first job I ever had, I got this whilst I was still in school. I only worked about 4 hours a week cleaning tables and cleaning the play area making sure it was safe for the kids. I was there for 6 months, I enjoyed it for a while but then my anxiety took over and made it unbearable.

2. Retail #1- This was my second job I got not long after leaving my first job. This was a part time Christmas temp job I had for 2 months and I hated every minute of it. It was one of them surroundings that if they didn't like you they wouldn't talk to you. I was so pleased to leave.

3. Retail #2- My last job before I am in now. The best two and a half years was spent in this job. I started in this popular shop as a summer temp on a 4 hour contract and I loved it. I was quickly made a permanent member of staff. Just under a year later I was asked to cover a shop in a local town by the same company and was offered a promotion to team leader in this store and accepted. I was 18 and a team leader for a very popular UK retail store and i loved it. Sadly I had to leave around a year ago as it was costing me way too much money to travel everyday and was extremely long days.

I am currently in a new job that I also love that is totally different to anything I had done before. I am not going to go into too much details about it at the moment as I said before for privacy reasons etc.

My New Blogging Schedule.

Hi everyone, this is just a quick post to tell you about my new blogging schedule. As you may have been able to tell I have been posting everyday at 12pm for just over two weeks. At first this was working great as I was still on holiday from work and was able to schedule lots of posts before going back to work.
Now I am back at work I am struggling to get a post up everyday at 12pm. I first of all thought of changing the time of my post as I normally start work at 12, the same time my posts go live. That just wasn't working at all as I like to be able to access my laptop for when the post goes live but I am not getting to check my blog until at least 4.
I have decided that 6pm will be a better time for my posts to go live as most people seem to be more active online at that time.
My next issue was posting every day. As much as I love being able to post every single day it is getting harder for me to do this now.
I have come to the decision that I am going to post 3 days a week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Which are also my days off from work which makes it easier too.
So you can now expect a post on these days at 6pm. There is another post going up tonight so this isn't my post for the day, its a little extra one!

Primark Holler and Glow Unicorns Exist Illuminating Face Mask; Review

Hi everyone, todays post is going to be a review on the Primark Holler and Glow 'Unicorns Exist' Illuminating face mask.
When browsing the Primark beauty section the other day when I was out shopping I was drawn to their new face mask range. I am obsessed with unicorns and when I seen they had a Unicorn one I knew I had to get it. There was so many different ones to pick from and I will defiantly be picking up some more to try out.
I love how these look and they all have different fun patterns on which I think makes your normal facemask look a lot more fun and exciting. I also seen they had the foot mask socks that have been everywhere at the minute so I will be picking them up to try soon too!
On the packet it says 'Beam like a unicorn with this hydrating and toning blend: Lotus flower extract, Bamboo Water and Vitamin B5'
I cleansed my face as usual then applied the face mask a little after ( ignore the wet hair I had just had a shower ). As you can see it is a little too big for my face but I have found most sheet masks are. I love the design of the mask too, its so fun. I left this on my face for 15 minutes before removing then I just wiped off the excess from the mask.
Since using it my face has felt so soft! It does look a bit brighter too.
I am so excited to try some more of these and review them for you!

12 Baby Names I love but might not use

This TAG I have seen floating around on Youtube for a while now and I love watching them. It is the baby names I love but might not be using. Normally it is talking about ones that I wont be using but all of them on this list I would maybe use. I just also want to add that I am not pregnant and not planning on having babies any time soon but I thought it would be fun to do as I love these type of TAGS.
I have 6 girls and 6 boys names to share with you.

Evelyn- This has been my favourite name for a while now. It is an older name but I think it is coming back in fashion again now. I found this name when playing sims and naming my person and it came up on the randomiser and I fell in love with it.
Grace- Before Evelyn this was my number one name but then literally everyone started naming their babies Grace, including my cousin who used it in his daughters name.
Evie-Rae- I love the name Evie-Rae, I love how cute it sounds as one name. I would say this is my second choice name if I did ever have a girl although I do know someone who has a baby and have named her this, I was so annoyed when I seen haha.
Aurora- This is either a love it or hate it name. Although I am Disney obsessed I haven't chose this name because of Sleeping Beauty. I just think it is a really cute name and very different.
Elodie- I love this name again I think it is so pretty but the only reason I don't think I could use this is because my best friends number one baby name is Melodie and they are too close.
Lily- This last girls name will always be on my list as my nana was called Lily, when she died I knew I wanted to have a daughter called Lily after her.

Harry- This has always been my favourite name for as long as I can remember. I do see myself using this name if I ever have a son.
Alfie- Like Harry, I have always loved the name Alfie. It is such a typical name for boys these days and I love it!
Archie- This one is newer to my list, I have only just started liking this one in the last few months and now I love it. When I heard it a few years ago I wasn't keen but my mind soon changed.
Charlie- I love this name it is so adorable, but the number one reason I can't use this is because my aunties dog is called Charlie!
Dylan- This is a name you never really hear people naming their babies now. I know of a few Dylan's but they are all around my age or older. I still love the name though and hopefully it will come back in again.
Oscar- The last name on my list is Oscar. I always wanted to name my son if I had one Oscar, that was until my cousin named her little boy Oscar and then a close family friend used it too, that wrote the name off totally for me so I won't be able to use it now as I know two people who have used it.

What names do you like?

Superdrug and Primark Haul

Hi everyone, today I am going to be doing a little haul from my trip to Glasgow the other day. Me and my friend decided we were going to go to the train station and get a ticket for the next train out and we ended up in Glasgow. We didn't do lots of shopping when we were there but I decided to show you what I picked up. There is a mixture of stuff here but I hope you enjoy!

First off I had to pick up the love island tshirts as I am obsessed with the programme and they don't sell them in my local one. I got the 'Shall I rap' and '100% my type on paper' ones. These were both £6. I also picked up a plain black vest style crop top to wear on my nightout tomorrow, I will be hopefully doing an outfit/ makeup post before I go out tomorrow night, if I do it will be up some time this week.

Moving on to makeup type products. In Superdrug I picked up the new makeup revolution rainbow highlight £4, the MUA highlight in the shade Pearlescent Sheen £3 and the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in the shade Pink Bliss £5.99. Moving on to Primark I picked up the Get Lippy Metallic lip kit in the shade Molten Lava £3, Holler and Glow unicorns exist illuminating face mask £3, Pack of 8 black spiral bobbles £1, Pack of 12 plastic clear bobbles £1 and a pack of two holographic tweezers £1.

Last off all is the random bits I picked up from Primark. Firstly I picked up the mermaids and unicorn notebook for £2.50, Unicorn pen 90p, Mini love heart light £3, A mini plant in a copper pot £3, Marble passport cover £2, Pack of 3 ankle bracelets £2, Rose gold dish £2 and finally a sparkly belly bar that said £3 on the sign but on my receipt its only £1!

What IS going on? Health Update

Hi everyone, I don't even know if this post is going to get published or not but right now I need to get all my feelings out and on to something. It is going to be a long one as there is a lot to write and if you are easily grossed out or squeamish then this post isn't for you.

Ever since I started my period at the age of 13 they have never been normal. I either don't get them at all or I get them and I can't leave my bed. I have been on countless forms of contraception to try sort things out but nothing has ever worked for me. I had scans and stuff when I was 15 and they just told me "There is a few little cysts but its nothing" and that was that. Nothing else gets mentioned.
I finally got the courage at the start of the year to go to the doctors as I hadn't had a period in well over a year. I couldn't get an appointment with a doctor so I had to see a nurse practitioner, great.
It finally came round to my appointment and I was sitting shaking in the waiting room feeling physically sick. When I was called in I sat down and explained to the nurse everything, rushing everything I was saying because I was so nervous. All the nurse could say to me was "Well your not wanting a baby yet so we will leave it until your ready" and that was that. I got home and just cried. It took me so long to find the confidence to go to the doctors and when I finally did I felt like I just been brushed off like nothing is wrong.

After around a week or so I decided enough was enough and I was going back but this time I wanted answers. My mum made me an appointment for a few weeks time but this time with a doctor and again I felt the same as I had been brushed off the first time I was scared it was going to happen again.
Eventually the time came around for me to go back again so I went in to the doctor still feeling scared and anxious and explained everything to him. I couldn't of asked for a better doctor. He told me I needed to go for a blood test and an ultrasound scan to see what was actually going on inside. He explained to me that as the lining of my womb is building up it looks like I probably can not have children naturally. That is the thing that has got me the most, ever since I was young I have wanted my own children then at the age of 20 being told it probably isn't possible really killed me.
He referred me for a blood test and was told to come back and see him after that whilst he would refer me for my scan.
I had the blood test and went back to see him a few weeks later when he told me that I needed another blood test as something had showed up and he wanted to clarify it, he also told me the hospital had refused my scan and he was going to have to try again.
I eventually got the letter about my scan 2 months later and had it the day after I got home from Lanzarote in April.
I was told I was going for a quick ultrasound and would be in and out with in half an hour, boy were they wrong.
They told me that because of where they needed to check they needed to do an internal scan. I was on my own and so scared. They did what they had to do and I went to work in agony.
I got a phone call a week later whilst I was on my driving test telling me I needed to go back in that day to see them as they needed to discuss my results ( I had failed my driving test so wasn't feeling the best anyway ).
I to the doctors that afternoon where they told me my bloods were still coming back not right and that my ultrasound was inconclusive.
They referred me to the specialists at the hospital, this was the first week of May and I am not at the hospital till the middle of August.
At the moment I just feel so crap about the whole situation. The unknown is killing me. I want to know what is happening, whether there is a way I can have kids or not. I don't want children right now but if I get into a relationship then that would be something I would consider in the future but I still want to know.
I keep getting pains in my stomach too which I am not sure if it is connected or not.
I am hoping for more answers from the hospital when I go next month.

Hi everyone today I am going to be doing a post I have been seeing floating around the blogging world at the moment. A beauty ANTI haul, basically all the beauty products I won't be buying.

Everyone at the moment has been going on about the new Urban Decay palette but it's not something I have got excited about. When Naked 3 came out I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. When I first seen this one I just didn't think I would get use out of this one as they are colours I don't really wear. It is a nice palette and I love Urban Decay but I'm not going to get it just because it looks nice.

Next up is the ever so famous Dipbrow Pomade. This is probably the most talked about eyebrow product at the moment. I have the Freedom one and I love that. It's about £10 cheaper than the Anastasia Beverly Hills and from reviews that I have seen they are so similar. I don't want to pay a lot of money for a product that I can find a cheaper alternative for.

Another product I see floating around that everyone love is the Mary-Lou Manizer. I do love a good highlight but this one just doesn't seem to appeal to me.

The Kylie lip kits is something everyone seems to love, as much as I want to try them for myself I don't think I ever will. The shipping to get these in the UK is unreal as you have to pay custom charges on top of the price of the product and I don't think I could bring myself to pay that much for a liquid lipstick. Maybe if they were a little cheaper I would consider.

What products are out there that you wouldn't buy and why?

Primark Lemon Sorbet Lip Balm; Review

Hi everyone, today I have a review on the Primark Lemon Sorbet lip balm. I picked this up a few weeks ago when I was in Blackpool as my lips were feeling dry and it was only 80p so I thought it was worth picking up and giving a try.
For the price you get a really good amount of product, it is quiet a deep tin and is full of the solid lip balm. It tastes just like lemon sorbet which is one of my favourite flavours.
You do have to rub your finger around the tin a few times to get a decent amount of product out.
After using that I have noticed how soft my lips have felt and the taste of the lemon does last for a while too.
There is a few more flavours that I am wanting to get my hands on next time I am in my local Primark.

Hooked Up By Gemma Wright Pressed Glitter Pans; Mermaid Tears, Queen B & Gunmetal Smoulder; Review

Hi everyone, so todays post is one I have been so excited to share with you. If you seen my post the other day about the Primark Glitter Obsession palette then you will know I have been on a mission to find glitter eyeshadows. I have done it. I have found exactly what I was looking for.
I have seen on facebook and instagram about Hooked Up Gemma Wright from all the videos and pictures she shared of her glitter shadows and I knew I had to give them a try. I ordered them off her site and they arrived 3 days later. I was excited when they came and couldn't wait to give them a try. I ordered 3 colours which I am going to show you in a minute. They are £5.99 each so very affordable and defiantly worth it.

The first shade I picked up is called Gunmetal Smoulder. This one is a gunmetal type silver/black glitter colour. I think this one will look great for doing a dark smokey eye. As you can see from the swatch above the pigmentation is so good!

Next up is my favourite out of the three, Mermaid Tears. I have been wanting a holographic glitter shadow for so long and I have finally found the perfect one! It is amazing, I love how shines different colours as the light hits it and I think this will look amazing at parties and on night outs.

The last of the glitters that I got this time round is a golden and holographic one. I love the idea of this one as it is mainly golden but has holographic pieces running through it too. I love doing golden eye looks and this will put a glittery twist to the normal look.

All in all I am so impressed by these and I am already looking at getting more next payday!

Makeup Revolution Teardrop Silicone Blender Makeup Sponge; Review

Hi everyone, today I am going to be talking to you about a recent purchase I couldn't wait to get my hands on. This being a Silicone makeup applicator. I have been so intrigued by these since they first came and everyone was trying them on youtube. I finally got round to getting one in Superdrug the other week whilst waiting for my friend. I seen Makeup Revolution had brought a version out so I picked it up and have been trying it out since.

On the Superdrug site it is described to apply makeup like any other applicator without absorbing the formula meaning that you use less product.
My first impression of this is sadly not good. I don't like the way the makeup applies with this. It doesn't seem to apply right. I have tried it with a few different foundations but none of them seem to apply that well.
The applicator itself reminds me so much of them gel insoles you put in your high heeled shoes when your going out and don't want your feet to hurt. So strange.
I am so sad that I haven't got on as well with this as I wanted to. I am going to keep trying this with different foundations to see if I can get it to work as I don't want to give up on it just yet.
This one here is £4.99 and can be found in Superdrug.

Primark Glitter Obsession Cream Shadow Palette; Review

Hi everyone so todays post is going to be talking about the Primark 'Glitter Obsessions Cream Shadow Palette. I have been after some glitter eyeshadows for ages now as I love how glitter eye makeup look especially on a night out. I seen this online on a few blogposts and youtube videos and knew I had to give it a try. My local Primark is small so I knew I wouldn't be able to get it where I am from. Luckily on a recent trip to Blackpool I found it in their Primark and I knew I had to pick it up.

As you can see from the swatches above, the pigmentation of each of the colours isn't consistent as some are really pigmented and other not so much. Most of the brighter colours are more pigmented but I am not brave enough to give any of them a try. I have been trying to make the silver and holographic type colours work but they just don't come out too great on the eyelid. I have been applying them with my finger but have seen a few people online using sponge applicators so I may have to give that a try to see if that makes them come out any better. The consistency of these shadows are quiet weird as it is a gel like formula with added glitter into them so I personally use a base shadow under the glitter to give it some colour underneath as the gel is clear.
I am still on the look out to find a glitter eyeshadow that works for me, I have ordered some online that should be coming soon that I am very hopeful for so there should be a post on that coming soon.
I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any recommendations on any glitter shadows please let me know!
Thanks for reading.

My Fibromyalgia Story

Hi everyone, today is going to be a different type of post. I am going to be talking to you about my Fibromyalgia story. I feel like it is something I want to talk about here on my blog as it is part of me and who I am. I am not looking for attention with this post either, I am writing this for myself and possibly anyone else who has fibro or knows someone who does have it. It is going to be quiet a long post so you might want to get a brew before reading!
For as long as I can remember I have struggled with back ache if I am standing or walking for too long. When I used to go to football away matches with my dad if there was no seats in the away stand I struggled and most the time I had to sit on the ground.
Around 7 or so years ago I woke up one day with the most horrendous back pain and feeling sick. I went off to school but got sent home as I kept being sick. I ended up going to the doctors who admitted straight into childrens ward. This is where it all started to kick off. I was in for 5 days as I was severely dehydrated from being sick due to the pain. They put it down to a water infection in the end after sending me for an ultrasound scan.
A couple of weeks later it happened again, the pain and the sickness were back. I ended up back in hospital and the same stuff all happened again.
This kept happening and I seen countless different consultants from different departments. I seen a gynaecologist ( this is important for a different post I will be getting round to doing when I know more ).
About a year later and countless more stays in hospital I seen a rheumatologist consultant who decided it was something to do with my bones. I went to see this doctor again as an outpatient who referred me for CT and MRI scans.
I was then passed around most the consultants on that department until the final one told me I had fibromyalgia. A condition that causes pain in the muscles, joints and ligaments. Causes forgetfulness knows as fibro fog and the main one I suffer with is insomnia.
The consultant referred me for physiotherapy which for me, didn't help at all.
I still suffer with the pain now and I am always in pain but it is bareable now. I haven't had a really bad flare up in a long time which I am so pleased about.
The only part I really suffer with is the insomnia. I can go for weeks with having about 2 hours sleep a night, no matter what I do I just can not get to sleep. Luckily this isn't all the time and at the moment my sleeping hasn't been too bad.

As well as fibro I am currently under investigation for something else that is really hard for me to talk about and come to terms with. I am waiting to go to the hospital to see a specialist about this. I will be doing a post on this when I can but at the moment I have very little knowledge about the condition.

If you or you know someone with fibro ever need anyone to talk to I am always here and willing to talk to people about it so we can support each other.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick- Double Dare; Review

Hi everyone, today I am going to be talking to you about the Kat Von D liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Double Dare.' This is my first Kat Von D lipstick that I have purchased, I had tried my friends one a few times to see what I thought of them before getting one of my own.
First off I want to say how easy it applies, I like the size of the applicator as it fits my lips perfectly and the product applies really well.
I wanted to get an every day colour to try first as I didn't want to spend that amount of money if I wasn't as fond of the colour. I am so pleased I went for this colour though as I love it!
Another good thing about this lipstick is how well it lasts, it lasts for hours. I first tried it when I was going on a night out and it was still on and going strong when I came home.
I really want to try more of these colours and I will for sure be making a purchase on some more of these very soon!

UPDATE: Where have all my posts gone?

Hi everyone, I didn't expect to be writing this post today as I have so many ideas for posts at the moment which I am working on at the moment but I feel like I have to write this post now. Basically today I decided that I wasn't feeling the pink and white theme for my blog. I want to have a clean looking blog and I just didn't want to have the pink now. I felt like changing it up to go for classic black and white look now. I changed everything and I am now happy with my layout and theme but I had such a problem with changing the font colour from my posts. After an hour or so I worked out it was through the app I had been using had somehow messed it up so I couldn't change font colour. It was too much hassle to go back and delete stuff from the app to change it all. I got myself so annoyed I deleted all the posts that wouldn't change which ended up being them all apart from two. I have calmed down a lot now though and have decided that now them posts are gone, I can do them again but to my new theme for my blog. I also will be buying my blog domain in the coming weeks so that will also be changing to. I also am kind of changing the types of posts I will be doing on here too, I want to have a lot of makeup look posts on here as I love doing makeup so it will be fun for me to do posts with different looks. Also I want to do some travel posts as I love travelling and it is something I want to do so much more travelling and it will be fun to share with you my journey. Finally I will be doing some life posts talking about different things to do with my life!
Here's to the new start here on my blog!
