A Look Back On 2017

Hi everyone, today I am going to be doing a post looking back on the past year! What a year it has been. I am going to be sharing just a few moment from the past year mainly for me to look back on and remember what happened in 2017.

This year I have done so much travelling. I kicked it off with going to Lanzarote with my friend in April and had an amazing time. I then went on a family holiday to Portugal in July, this when I started back with blogging again. Towards the end of the summer me and my friend were missing the sun so we booked a last minute holiday to Majorca for October. I have loved travelling abroad so much this year and I can't wait to travel again in 2018.

Turning 21
This one was something I had been waiting for for so long. After booking my birthday party in January it was all I could think about. Getting stressed over if people would actually come and then my DJ dropping out last minute. It turned out to be an amazing night spent with amazing people. My work friends got me tickets to see Peter Andre live in Blackpool 2 weeks after my birthday and gave me the whole weekend off to enjoy it. I also got money for a car for when I eventually pass my driving test this year.

Driving Tests
Here is the one thing I let myself down with this year. I failed my driving test, twice. I am so annoyed with myself even still now and I failed twice in May this year. I have moved instructors now and I am doing so much better and I am re-booking for early 2018 and hopefully I will pass third time. Since my best friend passed her test it has made me even more eager to pass mine. I failed them both on the same thing but they have taken that out the test now which makes me feel more positive.

This is something I did a whole blog post about a few months ago which you can see here. Since that post I have had my ultrasound and got the results back which do state I have POS. I still don't know much about the results as I haven't been back to the hospital yet but I am finally getting somewhere with knowing thats wrong.

That is it for 2017. It has been such a good year and I can't wait to see what 2018 has to offer!

Thanks for reading and I will see you next year!

What I Got For Christmas 2017

Hi everyone, hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!
Today I am going to be sharing with you most of the things I got for Christmas this year. I just want to quickly say the usual I'm not bragging and I am extremely grateful for everything I received this year.
Anyway time to get on with the post!

The first present I am going to be talking about is my new Nike trainers. I am a trainers type of girl, I wear them pretty much everyday. So for Christmas my dad got me a new pair in this lovely dark aubergine colour although they do look black in this picture. I can't wait to wear these.

I love listening to music but the wires to headphones can be so annoying. I was lucky enough to get these glossy black Beats wireless headphones. These are going to be so handy when I am travelling and around the pool on holiday.

The last of my 'big' presents is something I had asked for, a camera. Now I am taking blogging a lot more seriously and hoping to keep it up through next year I thought it would be time to get a camera. I am also taking up weekly vlogging in the New Year and having a camera will really help with that. So far I am loving this camera, I do need to have a fiddle with some of the settings and stuff to get used to it but I used it to take the pictures for this post and I'm impressed!

I also got some vouchers to go shopping with. I got £30 in Debenhams vouchers and £25 in River Island vouchers and I can't wait to go to town this week and pick up some new things with these vouchers.

Since getting the original set of these brushes for Christmas and falling in love with them I added the limited edition set to my Christmas list and I was lucky enough to get them! I haven't tried them yet but they are so pretty.

This is something me, my sister and my cousin get every year for Christmas from my dad. This is a tradition that we have got one of these every Christmas for over 10 years now, it wouldn't be Christmas if we didn't get one.

This purse is going to be so handy for me when I am going on nights out, holidays or even just popping to the shop. It has 3 slots on the back for cards, space inside for notes and coins then a little zip area on front to add coins too.

So here is my little collection of Peter Andre presents. I love Peter Andre and have done for many many years now. I got to see him in October for my birthday present from work friends. This year I got a Peter Andre 2018 calendar, a book, a slab that says 'I love Peter Andre' and a Peter Andre perfume to add to my collection.

One of my friends got me this Makeup Revolution Highlight set. It includes a powder highlight and 3 liquid highlights. I am so excited to try this out because who doesn't love a nice highlight?

It wouldn't be Christmas without one of these type presents would it. This has 2 shower creams and a shower puffy inside it. I am huge fan of Dove so love getting more of their products to try.

From one of my other friends I got this Echo Falls mini bottle of wine and a wine glass with some little chocolates inside. I will be enjoying this on New Years Eve before I head out uptown.

Something I don't do is treat my hair well. I am constantly ruining it with heat. My mum got me this handle the heat set that includes a heat defence spray, hair perfume and a hair spray. The bag it comes in also doubles up as a heat proof mat to rest your hair tools on.

I love having body sprays on hand in my bag or in locker at work so I can give a quick spray of them whilst I'm on the go. This tin has 3 different mini body sprays inside. I used to love impulse so I am excited to try these again.

My older sister got me this makeup bag. As a beauty addict you can never have too many makeup bags. I love how girly this one is with the sequins and bright colours. This will be handy for when I go on holiday next year.

Box of Teasers
Last but not least is this box of teasers. I love these and I always pick these straight out of Celebrations so when I seen I had box just of these I got a little bit excited!

These are only some of the things I got. I also got money, euros, a onesie, hoodie and a bracelet that I didn't get round to taking photo's of. I am also meeting my friends today to swap presents with them!

Tangle Teezer; Glitter Gem

Hi everyone, today I am going to be talking about something I can not live without, my Tangle Teezer. The newest one to my collection is the 'Gitter Gem'. This is third Tangle Teezer now so already it shows how much I love them!
I first discovered the brand Tangle Teezer about 6 years ago when my older sister was using one after she was shown them at work as a nanny by one of the parents who swore by it for her kids as they hated their hair brushed, that was until they discovered Tangle Teezer. My sister then showed us with hers how it works on my younger sisters hair who has long curly hair, that knots a lot. My sister didn't flinch at all!
I went and got one for myself and since then I haven't looked back. I have had one ever since then and I use it religiously. The first one I got was bright pink as they didn't have many designs back then. I somehow lost that one so I replaced it with a purple glittery one. That one eventually got to the point I couldn't use it anymore so I then replaced it recently with this new one.
This new one has a bit on the bottom that protects the bristles when your not using it.
I think these are amazing, especially how they just glide through the most knotty of hair without pulling or hurting.
I will never go back to a normal brush now! The price of the one I got is £13.50 but the prices vary for the different styles as they do so many, mine is just the compact one but they do them for blow drying and styling too.
I got mine from Topshop but you can also pick them up in Boots and online too.

Finding The Right Makeup For You! Beauty Maven Guide*

Hi everyone, today I am going to be talking to you about makeup brushes! I am obsessed with makeup brushes and have more than I could even count! I have so many different kinds that work differently for different things but do we really know the best brushes and what they are used for? Here is where I introduce you to the Beauty Maven Guide.

I was contacted by the lovely Jessica from their team who introduced me to their website and since discovering it I have been obsessed. What do they do ? Well they test 16 different brands of brushes to review and help people who are needing advice with brushes. They hand check the brushes for softness, durability and grip as they are the things people want to know about when it comes to buying brushes. They test out brushes from drugstore to high end and review them all on the site to help you find the brushes you need!
Since finding this site I have used it to look up brushes as I am always on the look out for new brushes.

If you are on the look out for new brushes then you really should check out the guide here.! It really will help you out.

Christmas Gift Guide- Stocking Fillers For Her Under £10

Hi everyone so today I am going to be kicking off my Christmas Gift Guide series by sharing with you 5 stocking fillers for her under £10.
As much as I love Christmas and Christmas shopping I never know what to get people and I know I am not the only person who is like this! So I thought it would be good idea to cover most areas of what you need to buy for, from stocking fillers to main gifts, from to her and even the kids! There is going to be plenty of posts coming up to share with you all some perfect gift ideas.

Stackers Marble Effect Small Jewellery Storage Cone £10- John Lewis.
As you are probably aware by now, marble has been huge this year. How cool is this marble effect ring holder? Perfect to keep your rings in one  place whilst you aren't wearing them.

Unicorn Shower Cap £5.99 Prezzy Box
Another thing that has been huge this year is Unicorns, I have to admit I jumped right on the bandwagon with Unicorns. But who couldn't love this shower cap, it's practical and cute.

Bath Spa Lights £7.99 Find Me A Gift
Everyone loves a good bath don't they? I love the idea of these bath lights, they will make any normal bath just a little bit more relaxing. I can just imagine a nice hot bath with some candles lit and these lights.

Pug In A Mug Tea Infuser £6 River Island
Most people love tea, most people love pugs. So what better way to get a pug loving tea addict than this cute silicon tea infuser! You just pop your tea inside the pug, pop it over the mug and leans over the side infusing the drink you! How adorable?!

Speech Bubble Light Box £10 Matalan
Cinema light boxes have been everywhere this year and I love mine. The only problem is they don't always have enough letters for what you are wanting to put on it. Thats where this write your own light box steps in, you can write whatever you want on it with the pen that comes with it. Nothing stopping you with this one!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and it has helped you with some stocking filler ideas!

Christmas Gift Guide- Stocking Fillers For Him Under £10

Hi everyone, today I am going to be do part 2 of my Christmas gift guide. Today I am going to be talking about 5 stocking fillers for him under £10.

Beer Shower Gel £7.50 The Great Gift Company
This is what I would call your usual stocking filler, something small and fun! When I seen this beer shower gel I knew I had to add it to my gift guide, shower gel is something everyone uses and having a beer one makes it a lot more appealing for men!

Beard Buddy Shaving Apron £8.99 I Want One Of Those
This one is a funny novelty gift as well. Instead of getting beard hair all in the sink or on the floor etc this apron will catch all the hairs instead, will make cleaning up easier thats for sure!

Man Flu Rescue Tea £4.95 Not On The High Street
We all know a man who suffers with man flu at some point in the year don't we? Soon as I seen this I knew I had to add it to this post as it is something I should probably get my dad ( he has man flu at the moment!! ). The tea is lemon flavoured but does have things in it to make you feel better when you are not feeling too well.

Credit Card Power Bank £8.99 Prezzy Box
Don't you just hate it when your having a long day out and not getting chance to charge your phone then the time comes and it dies! You could get a portable charger for your phone but most of them are bulky.... or are they? This one that I have found online is slim enough to slip into your wallet so its hardly noticeable. No more phones dying when you need them not too!

Golf Ball Finder Glasses £9.99 Menkind
Golf is such a mans game, I know a few men that play golf so when I seen this gift I thought it was such a fun and cool idea. The idea behind this is you put them on to find the ball as it cancels out the grass and makes the ball stand out so you can see it clearly. No more rummaging around in the grass trying to find it!

Hope you all enjoyed this post and I will see you in the next one!

Blogmas FAIL and vlogging ramble

Hi everyone, well I failed at Blogmas already! Not even a week in and I failed! I tried to make it work but I couldn't do it. At the moment I am working a lot of hours meaning I'm rarely off work so finding the time to write 31 posts isn't easy. This was why I dropped down to 3 posts a week a few months ago as it was proving hard. I am not giving up though and there will be plenty of posts coming this way again throughout the month and they will be Christmas related ones too.
I have also been thinking of vlogging but I am unsure whether or not I could stick to it, I have wanted to weekly vlog for a while now but never end up doing it. This is something I have wanted to do for a while now and I am undecided whether to give it a go now or try in January to see if I can do it.
Weekly vlogs are my favourite videos to watch so for me to start doing them would be ace so I am hoping that it is something I could stick to, but we would have to see.
I am sorry that I didn't stick to Blogmas but I am still going to be posting on my normal Monday Wednesday and Friday!

Younique 3D Fibre Mascara Review; Blogmas day 2

Hi everyone, today's post in Blogmas is going to be a review on my new favourite mascara! This is the Younique 3D fibre mascara. You may remember everyone a few years ago going on about this mascara when it first launched, I remember it was everywhere and it looked amazing but I never gave it a try. This was until I finally bit the bullet in becoming a Younique representative. I am just going to add a quick disclaimer by saying just because I am a representative doesn't mean that I am just saying this as I work for them as I genuinely wouldn't use or talk about any product that I don't love myself. .
Enough of the rambling on and time to get on with my review.

As you can see from the picture above the difference in my lashes are amazing! I do have naturally long eyelashes but when I am using this mascara they look fantastic. It isn't a normal mascara to use as such, you apply the clear gel to your lashes first then you apply the fibres over the top of the gel, the fibres then add to the length and volume of the lashes. You then apply the clear gel over the fibre to seal it in.
As well as making my lashes look amazing my eyelashes feel lighter, when I wear normal mascara I can feel it on my lashes but this is really soft and doesn't feel mascara at all. I really am in love with this mascara. It also comes in a really cute case too.

If you are interested in getting this mascara you can purchase it via me from here for only £23. I am also going to be giving one of these away for FREE via my facebook page which you can check out here. I will be giving away the free one very soon so be sure to check out my facebook page and give it a like so you don't miss out.

Paranormal Experiences.

Hi everyone, Happy Halloween! I thought it would be a really fun idea to do a post talking about paranormal experiences I have had myself or happened in my home. I am having to write this during the day as I am far too scared to write it at night time! This will be a long post so if you make it to the end well done you!

1. The clock at my dads. This might not sound paranormal but it was very weird! When my dad and step mum got married my uncle got them a clock that they have on the wall in the hallway as you walk into the house. Sadly two years ago my uncle died. The day he died my step mum had noticed the clock had stopped working. Later that day we found out he had died. My step mum didn't want to put new batteries in the clock until after my uncles inquest. A few months after he died but before the inquest was my uncles 40th birthday. My step mum walked into the hallway and the clock was working again! It really freaked us all out for sure.

2. My great auntie. When I was a lot younger my cousin was stopping at my house and we were asleep in my room. My mum woke up in the middle of the night to 70s style music playing, she looked at the clock and it said 3am. She got out of bed to see if me and my cousin had music playing in my room but we didn't and we were both fast asleep. She got back into bed and then felt something come over her, she looked down to see an arm over her as if she was getting hugged. My mum asked 'who is it' and the reply was 'It's Auntie Eileen.' She had died a few months before this.

3. Man in my step mums bedroom. This one is something that really did scare me a lot. The house my step mum used to live in London was really haunted and things used to happen all the time. The time I am talking about is something that happened directly with me. Her house was set out where the toilet was in a separate room at the top of the stairs with the toilet facing my step mums bed room. The door into her bedroom was open and I had left the toilet door open as it was just us two in the house. I was sat down when I looked up and seen a man in her room next to the bedside table re arranging stuff on the bedside table. He looked quiet old. He looked up and looked at me before vanishing. When my step mum went to bed, all the things were in a different order.

4. The solider in the castle. This next one took place in the castle in my city when I was on a school trip. When I was about 13 my school took us on a trip to the castle. We were going up the stairs in one of the towers to have a look round. Me and my two friends were going slow at the back talking and being stupid. When we were walking up the stairs a man in a soldiers uniform marched past us on the stairs walking down to the bottom. Me and my friends looked at each other and ran to catch up with everyone. A few years later the TV programme 'Most Haunted' was filmed in the castle and they were talking about a solider than haunts that stair case. It must of been him that we seen.

5. Woman on the train. The last one I want to share with you is one that didn't personally happen to me but to my dad, it is too interesting not too mention though. My dad works on the trains as a ticket conductor. One day he was coming back home on the train, which was running late, when a passenger came over worrying about missing her next train. The passenger and my dad made conversation throughout the hour and a half journey back home. My dad made arrangements with a member of staff from the train station that he would meet her off the train. The train didn't have many people on as it was late at night. When the train pulled into the station my dad was stood at one end and the other member was stood at the other, the woman never got off the train. My dad went back on to check whether she had got off the train yet as neither my dad or his colleague seen her. She wasn't on the train either. They never did find out where she went to.

30 Spooky Halloween Questions TAG

Hi everyone today I am going to be doing the 30 Spooky Halloween Questions TAG. I love Halloween and I love TAGS, so I just had to do this post.

1. Favourite horror or Halloween-themed song? Thriller- Micheal Jackson. It's a classic Halloween song!

2. Name something you wouldn't want to run into in a dark forest or in an abandoned house? A murderer or zombie!

3.  Have you ever played with a Ouija Board? Nope, I am far too scared to do anything like that.

4. Favourite horror monster or villain? I don't really have a favourite, they all scare me!

5.  The creepiest thing that has happened when you have been alone? Seeing a ghost in my Step-mums old house; there is a post coming up about this on Halloween!

6. If you were dared to stay the night in a haunted house, would you do it? Only if my friends did it with me. I wouldn't do it alone.

7. Are you superstitious? I am.

8. Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision? I have seen shadows in the corner of my eyes but nothing like a proper figure.

9. Which urban legend scares you the most? Bloody Mary.

10.  Do you prefer gore or thrillers? Thrillers.

11. Do you believe in multiple dimensions or worlds? I don't believe we are the only the people out there. There has to be something else. If that counts as an answer?

12. Ever made a potion of any sort? Not properly, unless you count mixing shower gel and shampoo together in the bath when I was 5.

13.  Do you get scared easily? I really do. The slightest noise scares me.

14. Have you ever played Bloody Mary? No way!

15. Do you believe in demons/ the devil? I wouldn't like to say... I would hope there isn't but I am not sure if I believe there is or not.

16. You're home alone but you hear footsteps, what do you do? Knock all the lights on and hide in my bed.

17.  If you got trapped in one scary movie, which would you choose? I wouldn't like to be in any. I am such a wimp.

18. If you could only wear one Halloween Costume for the rest of your life, what would you be? Probably a witch's costume, its just an all black dress really isn't it.

19. Would you ever go to a graveyard at night? Not in the dark. Me and my family got locked in one night in the summer a few years ago.

20. In a zombie apocalypse, what is your weapon of choice? Pepper spray. Just spray it in their faces, they would soon leave me alone. I hope.

21. Would you rather go to a halloween party or go trick or treating? Halloween party all the way.

22. You’re in a horror movie. Are you the final girl, the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, or the killer? Probably the first to die!

23. Do you have to watch something happy after watching a horror movie so you can go to sleep? Yeah otherwise I can't sleep.

24. Whilst watching scary movies, are you the person who yells at the characters, the person with their eyes covered the whole time, or the person who falls asleep? The person with their eyes covered the whole time.

25. Are you the one who gets scared, or the one who does the scaring? The one who gets scared.

26. Favourite scary book? I haven't read any scary books.

27. How old were you when you saw your first horror movie? 13 I think.

28. What was your first Halloween costume? A cat, well that is the first one I remember.

29. What are you going to be for Halloween this year? I haven't decided yet.

30. If you could have a spooky halloween pet (black cat, owl, bat, rat, wolf), what would you pick? A black cat, because I have one!

Hope you enjoyed this post and it has helped you get into the Halloween spirit!

Primark Makeup Eraser; Review

Hi everyone, I have seen a lot of people talking about these makeup eraser's over the internet for the last few months now. I have finally got round to getting one for myself and trying it.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this, as all you do is wet it then remove your makeup with it, pretty simple really.
I have to say I was not disappointed with this amazing product! I gave this a try after I had been out with a full face of makeup on as I wanted to see properly if this would work as I feel if I had only mascara and foundation on I wouldn't be able to tell if it does work well to remove a lot.
I just wet the cloth and wiped away my eye makeup first and it pretty much just wiped away! I couldn't believe how well it took the eye makeup off.
I have definitely found a new to remove my makeup as it is so much easier than anything I have used before.
It is a bargain price too at only £1.50 so it won't break the bank either.

Meet the Blogger Behind... Post IVF World

Hi everyone, today I have another post in my Meet the Blogger Behind series. Today we have the blogger behind the blog 'Post IVF World.' I am looking forward to having her on my blog today as her blog is something close to my heart at the moment and I feel like it is good to have a variety of bloggers on my blog.
If you are interested in taking part in this series comment with your email adress and I will give you an email with the details.

1. Introduce yourself and your blog. So I am Becca (that is the first time I have actually told people my name through my blog, I am getting braver!!!)

And I post over at, I write about my life the way it is now, after years of infertility and IVF treatment, I also cover mental health issues, physical health issues and try to write about light hearted stuff now and then too!

2. What made you start blogging?  have always used writing as a therapy, it is a way for me to get my thoughts and feelings down in to a physical form where I can try to make more sense of them, along with this, after IVF finished, I felt so down, but once I got a bit better I decided that helping others deal with infertility and the pain of IVF might be a great way to give back!

3. How long have you been blogging? It's been about 4 months now, to begin with I had no idea what I was doing and I didn't post much, so i'd say about 3 months of 'proper' full on blogging!

4. Favourite thing about blogging? I love the community, everyone has been so welcoming, especially because I am a bit different in the blogging world, It worried me that people would just be so disinterested in what I have to say, but actually it's been the opposite and I hope I am helping people think more about their hormone health and fertility.

5. Least favourite thing about blogging? The fact that I can't put more time into it! I would love to write as a career and be able to put so much more in to my blogging! I feel like it has so much potential and I just can't fulfil that right now!

6. What do you use to take your blog pictures? I don't take pictures for my blog, I don't really have that kind of subject matter, although I love to take pictures with my SLR camera in daily life!

7. Blogging advice for a newbie. To blog about what you are passionate about! Don't force posts! Sometimes they come naturally and sometimes they don't but that's okay!

8. Do you do Youtube? If not, would you give it a try? I don't, mostly because I don't think I would have enough to say about fertility on there!?

9. What are your favourite posts to read? Honestly, I love these kinds of posts where its a little more informal and you get to hear more about what makes the blogger tick, so thank you for letting me get involved!

10. Sum up blogging in one word. Life – changing. Okay okay, I know that's 2, but I couldn't whittle it down any more!

Twitter: @postivf
Facebook: Post IVF World

Thank you Becca for taking part in this series! Make sure you go check her out!
